The library is open from Monday to Saturday with the following hours:

The library is accessible to Italian citizens and citizen of other countries, who have completed the sixteenth year of age and are provided with a valid identity document to show at the entrance and to be given in the reading room. The bags are must deposited at the entrance. It’s not allowed to deposit big packages and luggage and to take food or drinks into the reading room. It’s allowed to enter in the room with own books prior authorization. For consulting the manuscripts it’s requested a written motivation of the study needs. However it’s always possible to consult the digital reproduction on microfilm.

Access for disabled people
The Library is located in a monumental complex without entrance facilities for the disabled people. An internal elevator is accessible under request by ringing the intercom or calling the following number +39 06 68802671. The elevator is preceded by the front steps.

The distribution takes place from Monday to Friday from 8.15 am to 1.00 pm (on Wednesday and Thursday also from 2.00 pm to 18.15, only for the material in storage). It is possible however to book the volumes you would like to consult, manuscripts included, by phone (06-68802671), by fax (06-6893868) or by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). Even the material outside the Library can be requested with the same procedure. The requested books can be left in storage for one week.
Inside the reading room there is an Internet access for bibliographical research. It is allowed the entrance with one own books for study purposes. It is clarified that, in case there were not enough work stations, the users who need to consult the material belonging to the Library have the priority. In that case, the readers with their own books will be asked to come back another day or in a different time slot.
